A comprehensive, hands-on course offering an internationally recognised award in advanced airway management. This course equips healthcare professionals with critical skills for handling difficult airways in pre-hospital settings.
The Difficult Airway Course: EMS focuses on advanced airway management techniques essential for pre-hospital and emergency care settings. Topics include predicting difficult airways, video laryngoscopy, medication-assisted intubation (including RSI and RSA), paediatric intubation, cricothyrotomy, and extraglottic devices. This intensive two-day course combines theory with practical skills to enhance proficiency in handling complex airway scenarios. Designed and accredited by First Airway, LLC, and CAPCE, this course is offered exclusively in Wales due to licencing agreements.

Previous knowledge

Must hold an intermediate clinical qualification, e.g., FREC 5, or have a scope of practice aligned with that of a UK Paramedic.
