Description
This qualification provides learners with essential skills to safely administer and monitor lifesaving medications, following best practices for emergency or urgent care settings.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (RQF) trains healthcare personnel in the safe, effective delivery of lifesaving medications in prehospital or emergency settings. Guided by industry standards from the Resuscitation Council UK and Skills for Health, this qualification develops skills in patient assessment, dosage calculations, medication administration, and post-administration monitoring. Participants complete practical assessments and a learner workbook to demonstrate competency, meeting the criteria for emergency response roles. Completion enhances both skills and confidence in urgent care medication delivery.

Previous knowledge
Current employment with a CQC-registered organisation (or overseas equivalent) and a valid Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or equivalent are required.
