To equip personnel with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary for managing complex water rescue operations, including rope access and floodwater rescues.
Emergency services personnel involved in water rescues that could require complex access and egress techniques.
Advanced water rescue skills for complex, high-risk scenarios.
Training includes night search management and casualty extraction using rope systems.
Accredited course contributing to the Diploma in Specialist Rescue.
BS 8454, Work at Height Regulations
Valid and in-date DEFRA Mod 3 compliant award AND Rope Rescue Operator award or equivalent
Age 18+. Participants must be fit for this physically demanding course requiring the ability to demonstrate all Water Rescue Technician (Mod 3) skillsets as well as Rope Operator skillsets.
Recertification is recommended every 2 years. Completion of this course at Outreach Rescue satisfies Module ‘Specialist Rescue 2' (5085EXQ)’ for the Diploma in Specialist Rescue and (30 credits).
