No previous knowledge or experience required.
Age 18+. Delegates must be fit for physical training requiring the delegates to climb ropes and structures, and to haul on lines.
Recertification & Refresher training is recommended every 2 years by means of attending a 3 day recertification course. Successful completion allows entry to: Rope Supervisor & Rope Instructor Training. If delivered at Outreach Rescue this course satisfies Module ‘Specialist Rescue 1 (5084EXQ)’ for the Diploma in Specialist Rescue and is worth 30 credits.

- This course is predominantly practical, and includes teaching sessions and scenario based learning covering equipment usage (including numerous devices), knots and rigging, anchor selection and utilisation, work restraint, fall arrest systems, work positioning systems, ascending and descending lines, lowering and hauling systems for rescue, mechanical advantage, rescue systems, cableways and stretcher use.
- The course is holistically assessed throughout culminating in a series of assessment tasks on the last day.

This 3-day course is designed for personnel who have completed the Rope Rescue Operator Instructor Training within the last 2 years and are ready for assessment or for those needing to recertify as a Rope Rescue Operator Instructor.
This 5-day course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills to train and assess others in Safe Work at Height techniques and basic rescue procedures.
This 5-day course combines water rescue techniques with rope rescue techniques to enable operators to conduct safe rescues in complex and difficult access water environments where rope-over-water rescue techniques are required.
This 1-day course covers the basics of working at height through theory and practical sessions covering a broad scope of standard work at height equipment and techniques.
