CASUALTY MANAGEMENT

The Casualty Management course is designed to benefit specialist rescue practitioners who, through the use of their skills, are able to reach casualties who require medical care.

It will provide a realistic look at problems faced where the treatment and transportation of casualties could occur. Theoretical inputs are followed by opportunities for practical sessions of an increasing level of complexity.

As the course progresses students are required to work with casualties whilst working at height on high line systems, in confined spaces and finally water dominated environments. Each new set of risks and conditions add further problems to challenge those attempting advanced first aid and casualty care.

The core skills are tested by a series of practical tests and written assessment.
