Course Objectives

  • Perform first aid that meets both the legislative requirements of their region and the best practices outlined in ERC and AHA guidelines.

  • Recognise and accurately describe the normal functions, vital signs, and symptoms associated with both minor and serious injuries and illnesses.

  • Skilfully manage emergency situations in wind turbine environments, applying the correct procedures in a strategic order.

  • Use lifesaving first aid techniques, including the primary survey A-B-C, to stabilise individuals.

  • Effectively operate an automatic external defibrillator (AED) in critical scenarios.

  • Apply ordinary first aid knowledge through the secondary survey.

  • Employ first aid equipment adeptly in a variety of scenarios.
