HEAVY LIFT
The Heavy Lift course is designed for Emergency Service personnel who need to develop skills in the lifting and controlled movement of loads greater than those normally encountered in rope rescue.
The systems and techniques can be used for all lifting operations including animal rescues.
Tripod, Bipod and Monopod systems are utilised during the course. The equipment used is primarily PARATECH to replicate that available in USAR. Students are required to calculate the magnitude and direction of forces to ensure safe application in a wide range of configurations.
