Managing Work at Height

Goal

To equip supervisors and managers with the skills and knowledge required to ensure the safe planning, supervision, and management of work at height activities.

This course is for managers and supervisors that are responsible for planning, supervising and managing work at height.

Description
This 2-day course has been developed in conjunction with industry experts, to provide the knowledge for planning, supervising and managing working at height.
This two-day course covers health and safety regulatory requirements, selecting staff and equipment, producing work schedules and site supervision for work at height. The course is classroom-based, and firstly educates delegates in best practice for working at height, and then continues to how to produce suitable documentation for works. Delegates are assessed by means of a written exam and must produce an assignment. Successful delegates are suitably qualified for positions requiring supervision and management of activities involving work at height.

Previous knowledge

No previous knowledge or experience required. though prior knowledge of Work at Height is beneficial

Requirements

Participants should be aged 18+ with the ability to participate in assignments and complete written assessments.

Progression

Recertification & Refresher training is recommended every 3 years by means of re-attending this course. Though this award does not expire.

Theoretical elements

- This course is classroom based and covers legislation, the work at height hierarchy, PPE, risk assessing, personnel competencies, rescue considerations and the development of documentation for the workplace.
- This course is assessed by means of a written exam paper and the completion of a work assignment which is completed during the course.
