Description
This 1-day course is a progression from the Confined Space Rescue and Recovery course and covers the planning and oversight of rescue activities from Confined Spaces. This is the industry standard for Confined Space Rescue team leaders.
This short one day course builds on the rescue skillsets of those qualified as Members of a Rescue and Recovery from Confined Spaces team member, and introduces the delegate to planning considerations for these rescue operations. Delegate will have advanced knowledge of all requirements for Rescue and Recovery operations and will learn to plan comprehensive rescues for foreseeable risks in a confined space, including risk assessing, rescue method statements, considerations of peer rescue and selection of equipment. During rescue operations, delegate will oversee and record routine checks, such as communications, gas monitoring, BA pressure and PPE. Post work, delegates will write incident reports, close down work sites, conduct team debriefs and complete all necessary documentation. This is a demanding course requiring robust knowledge of confined space working and rescue operations, and requires strong organisational and managerial skillsets. Successful delegates can work as Rescue Team leaders (directors).
