Description
This is a 5-day high-level course which equips delegates with the skills to oversee an organisations Confined Space procedures to ensure legal and safety compliance throughout all Confined Space works.
This high-level course equips delegate with the skillsets to plan for Confined Space work at the highest level within their organisation. Delegates will be able to create all documentation within an organisation to set out work procedures and manage the safety of any Confined Space works. Whilst this course does not involve any practical training, delegates will be taught the full procedures for Confined Space work at Low, Medium and High-risk levels initially so they understand best practice. They will then be guided through planning such works, managing work teams, reviewing legislation and guidance, understanding organisational requirements, understand plant and tools and understanding emergency arrangements and rescue plans. The first half of the course is focused on classroom teaching, and then students are tasked with putting comprehensive procedures in place for their workplace or a simulated workplace under the guidance of our trainer. Delegates will then have 10 weeks post course to complete their works, all the while with the remote support of our trainer. This course demands strong managerial ability. Successful delegates are then qualified to manage the Confined Space arrangements within their workplace. Note that this course does not qualify students as entrants, entry controllers or direct supervisors of works, but would qualify the delegate to manage people in such roles.
