Target group

This course is for existing Medium-Risk entrants wanting to add entry control to their skillsets.

Highlights

Fast-track certification for qualified Medium-Risk confined space entrants.

Master entry control duties and emergency procedures.

Aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Description
This is a 1-day top-up course for qualified Medium-Risk entrants (qualified through Outreach Rescue) who wish to expand their skillset to include working as an entry controller.
This course builds on the existing knowledge of the Medium-Risk entrant, introducing them to the processes of entry control. Whilst a lot of the knowledge of the entrant and entry controller is very similar, delegates on this course will develop an appreciation of these duties from the perspective of the entry controller, and will work in this capacity to provide entry control for a number of training scenarios, each which provides different challenges and demands decision making from the entry controller. A written paper is issued to confirm learning.
Compliance

Confined Space Regulations 1997 and National Occupational Standards (EUSCS09).

Previous knowledge

In-date City & Guilds Medium-Risk entry award 6160-02 (within 3 years) which must have been acquired through Outreach Rescue for continuity of training.

Requirements
